May 10 12 12:47 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I there a foreign horror film called something like Night Of The Women? The only thing I remember about it is that it's a paranoid moody-looking film where the female sex actually turns out to be a conspiratorial force of evil in the world. I'm guessing were talking late 60's, possibly B/W, possibly Italian or German dubbed. Does this blurry memory from 70's late-late-show viewing ring a bell for anybody?

May 10 12 2:00 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Oh! If it's GIRL FROM RIO that kills me, because I had and sold the dam thing without ever watching it. It very well could be a Franco movie, I saw it on UHF channel 32 WFLD out of Chicago, they had a lot of dubbed Franco back in the day. May 10 12 6:01 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Both are Harry Alan Towers productions, the first from director Lindsay Shonteff, the second from Franco. Franco did the last two Fu Manchu features around the same time, all titles based on Sax Rohmer stories. Frankie Avalon was in the first, George Sanders was in the Franco film, with only Shirley Eaton starring in both, with a cameo as 'The Black Widow' in Franco's THE BLOOD OF FU MANCHU.

The only thing I remember is that it ended on a darkened street with a few rather attractive women giving knowing glances as they passed by, as if they were all "in on it together". Kind of like the reverse of the STEPFORD WIVES final bow. I know this is nothing to go on, but thanks for trying guys. From what I've read so far about the suggested titles GIRL FROM RIO seems the most likely, but I don't remember what I'm thinking of being campy.

May 16 12 9:18 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I never commented on the final scene from UNEARTHLY STRANGER, but I do agree about all the women being 'in on it.' The one who fell out the window later played the suspicious secretary of Barbara Leigh-Hunt in Hitchcock's FRENZY.
