That's what I was planning to do, but with all the VOD stuff of the past few years, I wouldn't place it outside the realm of possibility. Both prime candidates for researched-by-stills-and-crew-memories, Legend-level, colorization. While you're at it, throw in the kines of the '50's CINDERELLA and STINGIEST MAN IN TOWN, both missing their original hues.

Mar 24 12 9:27 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I'd much rather the effort go into releasing an entire season of the original DRAGNET instead of colorizing the one episode. I picked up both seasons of SCIENCE FICTION THEATRE, and assuming there's only one of these sets being traded, it looks like half were from Sci-Fi Channel and were pretty faded, but others looked better and never showed the Sci-Fi logo in the corner. There's nothing else onscreen to indicate where these are from. Been alternating between watching SFT and MEN INTO SPACE - I just like them both. Would like to track down THE MAN AND THE CHALLENGE one of these days. Deep water is dark and restful and full of peace.

As is the Shower of Stars musical version of A Christmas Carol starring Fredric March as Scrooge and Basil Rathbone as Marley. Music and songs by that jolly old elf Bernard Herrmann! Apparently a staple on CBS at Christmastime for years, this seems to only survive in B&W kinescope.

I have heard that only the earlier years were pd, but those are generally considered the best and were for the years when Dragnet was at its most popular. Actually, in the early years, many of the tv shows were based on radio scripts, and the radio shows are widely available on the internet and on mp3 cds. I would encourage anyone interested in Dragnet to get those. They're terrific.
