Apr 24 12 10:50 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	MAN BEAST Dilemma: The folks who want to put it out on DVD, using original materials (blah blah blah) and maybe some special features, have a negative and prints that are only about 62 or 63 minutes -- and the movie is more like 68 or 69. When I used to see it on NY's Channel 9, it was definitely almost 70 minutes. I just looked at the old Rhino DVD and ... yup, 63 minutes. Does anybody have in their collection a copy that's the full 68-69? The rights owners say that a copy of that would let 'em know what was missing (obviously) and maybe facilitate the search for a print or negative, or maybe just an odd reel, with the needed footage. I haven't rewatched the movie recently but it seems to me that when I used to watch it on Channel 9 as a teen, there was a scene of the leading lady talking about why she went on the expedition, and I don't think I've seen that since. Anyway, write to me c/o the CHFB if you have a full copy, and if you'll help out, I'll make sure you get a copy of the new DVD.
