Now it's published as a webpage (somewhat large): Science Fiction Films of the 1950s Please feel free to look it over and lambast it or politely point out errors major or minor or other shortcomings. You can respond here or to the e-mail address listed in the explanatory matter there. EDITED IN: I found out how to make pretty links, and have corrected some shortcomings in the listing (missed some CLR films) including incomplete visibility of page in some browsers. Now I can pick a movie by its poster and be disappointed when it doesn't quite measure up, just like the good old days! I enjoyed the discussion of qualification. So Two Lost Worlds and The Jungle are out; it's not enough to just find dinosaurs in some remote location. I was intrigued to find The Mouse That Roared on the list when On The Beach is disqualified as alternate history. I guess I need to watch The Mouse That Roared. I was thinking all the sci-fi elements were in its sequel The Mouse on The Moon. When I scroll to the very bottom the synopsis for Mouse That Roared is cut off. Don't know if that's a Firefox issue or what. There is a thread that never ends. Yes, it goes on and on my friends. Some people started it not knowing that a tree can walk, And they'll keep posting forever about a movie they can mock...

Running some awful recent version of Windows IE. And, there are at about 9 more listings after Mouse. Here is Mouse synopsis (which should explain sf-ness of Mouse): "Intentionally pre-industrial country conquers world by accidentally winning war with US by capturing both Earth-destroying hydrogen-4 "Q-bomb" and its inventor in New York City and transporting them back to Europe. Also, I will provide text of other alphabetically-later listings to you in this thread of they are invisible to you. Lastly, I am open to discussion/suggestion on my categorization but will elaborate on that and similar subjects in pages to be added to site later (although, maybe months later--one never knows).

Apr 5 13 12:04 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Superb list & poster gallery. One correction, one addition: 1. APRIL 2000 had an appearance on the US art-film circuit via Martin J. Lewis, as APRIL 1, 2000. I think you can find reviews to confirm this in either the NYTimes or Variety film reviews collections: year, 1951, I believe. Also, Czech version of Capek's novel, KRAKATIT, made over there in 1949 but shown over here, also in 1951 I think, under the same title by Artkino Pictures. Again, I think either or both of the review sources cited above will verify, tho I could also mail you a xerox copy of Artkino's programme issued for its premier @ the Stanley Theater in NY, if you'd like (sorry, haven't the technology yet to scan & e-mail, so must resort to the cruder method). Will give my own records more scrutiny later; do you have Bill Warren's book "Keep Watching The Skies", which also covers the same territory in exquisite detail. Good work!

Hold your efforts (no need for you to do work without reward) during my ginning up the gumption to research this myself. I am slow, but enjoy doing it. I no longer have a copy of KWTS, and anyway am trying to not filch the labor of others--a silly rule of mine and which I interpret according to my own silly manner. But if KWTS proves to be guidepost I need I'll round it up. Thanks again.

S'fine with me I was merely corroborating something you seemed to not have been sure. Durmiente and Soñador are simply two different words with different connotations. The Beautiful Dreamer title may be in reference to the song, for all I know, thus justifiable as a marketing decision.
