This Thursday TCM is airing the obscure 1966 French-Italian version of THE MAN WHO LAUGHS, starring the mighty Edmund Purdom. I saw a cruddy gray-market bootleg tape of this a few years ago... It's a lousy movie. But fans of the story might be curious, despite some plot changes. (The action's been transplanted to 16th century Italy, our hero is now named Angelo, and there are some ludicrous plot twists.)
