Mar 26 12 5:42 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I am a monster kid from Pittsburgh, the home of Romero zombies and Chilly Billy Cardille. This looks like an awesome forum. I used to be a regular on yuku boards about seven years ago and I stumbled onto this site! I am an artist, and a longtime collector of paperbacks, comics, pulp magazines, and science fiction and horror shows and movies. I have a fondness for the Universal monsters, Kolchak: the Night Stalker, Dark Shadows, public domain films, MST3K, Ed Wood, Paul Naschy, Flash Gordon serials, as well as Star Trek and Star Wars, Ultraman (and Infra-Man) and anything related to the fantastic books and cinema that I grew up with. I enjoy the high water marks of fantasy literature such as Poe and Stoker, Lovecraft, etc, as well as Dune, Foundation, Doc Smith, Bradbury and more! And I have a special devotion to EC Comics, especially Al Williamson and Wally Wood and Frank Frazetta. Being in my forties, there is still a part of me that wants to break out his coffee jar full of plastic dinosaurs! Hopefully, I will find time to be an active member here.

Mar 27 12 2:25 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I love public domain films of all kinds, silent movies, science fiction and horror, kung fu, and graze Z schlock because when you purchase them cheap in big boxed sets on dvd, their image quality varies wildly, just like they did when I watched these kinds of movies on broadcast television when I was a kid! For some reason, I tend to like movies like NIGHT OF THE BLOOD BEAST and WEREWOLF VS VAMPIRE WOMAN when they are grainy and scratchy. I used to sneak around as a kid when I was supposed to be asleep to watch the UHF channels at night, where the movies looked pretty bad. Kind of nostalgia for me. Also, I am learning digital video editing, and you can always find interesting clips from public domain films that you can use for any purpose!

It has the perfect'est beginning of any documentary; It's a clip from an old Marx Brothers film, Groucho Marx cracking a joke in a hail of smoke, "It's like living in Pittsburgh... if you can call that living". Haha.

Pittsburgh is very fond of its zombies LOL! I admire independent spirit, and I admire creativity. Who wouldn't want to make a monster movie? At some point I will have to post my art. I am working on a graphic novel tribute to Fifties science fiction movies and comics. I have a love for EC Comics, especially Al Williamson and Wally Wood.

Although it's been years since I last read any of them I do love the old EC, Al Williamson and Wally Wood comics so that graphic novel tribute of yours sounds cool. Do post your art!

My story is a love letter to high and low brow science fiction of the fifties. I have homages to Forbidden Planet, Devil Girl from Mars, and all of the alien invasion movies, as well as comics like Weird Fantasy and Mystery in Space.
