And here it is a bit larger wth the blank area at the top cropped off so we can see more detail of what's belowI found the larger image with more information on it than we had originally, that is: Good image of Lugosi as the Monster and eeerie silhouette of Chaney as the Wolfman. Original British material on this film is almost impossible to come by. This poster-ad is from a British cinema trade journal of 1946 ( which is when the film was released in Britain, having been delayed by the war) and announces a London trade-show.The Lugosi image is not on any of the still photographs we have seen before. Here are three suggestions about it:http://monsterkidclassichorrorforum.yuku.com/topic/679/FRANKENSTEIN-MEETS-THE-WOLF-MAN-Dissection-Version?page=270post 5400 August 16, 2009 Ted NewsomThat Lugosi Monster pic looks odd. Interesting to see him with his eyes open. I wonder if that's an unused pic from the revival scene? Another suggestion is if might be somehow from a screen capture of the Monster walking down the street on or around this one, with the head flipped the other directionThird hypothesis- I asked the owner of the newer image if he had any information on where the Lugosi image came from, with eyes open, not on any still photos, and his response was:"Interesting question. I have looked closer at the image and it seems to me that the British distributor has got an artist to paint on a pair of eyeballs over an image of Lugosi withhis eyes closed!"Very interesting."Much as I want to kill the Monster, I'd hate to crawl around there in the black of night..."
