I can think of at least one.....William Malone's CREATURE. I'm sure if I saw lists....there would be more....but, whatever. I won't go on whining over this. It's clear that it is pointless. I have a feeling someone will chime in saying no....no, it would not sell. It's a crappy 80's movie....your memories of it being any good are false. It's a low budget movie with a guy in a suit....today we have REAL special effects....bigger budgets, and better stories....these are the films that belong on dvd and bluray...not that old garbage. I will never, ever pay $20 for dvd-r releases. Not so long as there are companies out there that keep puting out wonderful releases of titles the studios would scoff at. God bless Synapse, SHOUT!, Blue Underground, Severin, etc, etc. I'll continue to support these guys. They deserve it. Living in Canada makes it even more expensive to purchase these MOD discs, and I'm ok with that. I just looked up The Green Slime on amazon.ca $23.99??!! Nope. I don't think so. Why would I when I can get a double feature or even four films on disc of grindhouse/drive-in classics from SHOUT! on real dvd's TO BOOT? Makes absolutely no sense to me.

Feb 25 12 2:02 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I just got my copy of THIRTEEN WOMEN today (2/24), and it was quite satisfactory. It IS the 59 minute print, but it is probably the BEST print available, and looks quite nice. (7 out of 10). Whast sends this off the charts, of course, is 59 minutes of a glorious Pre-Code Myrna Loy. She slithers around like Cleopatra's Asp, investing her character with a weird sort of humanity. You almost find yourself rooting for her. She's evil, and as mad as a hatter...but far more likable than the icy, socially correct "heroines" of the film. Myrna alone makes this a 10 out of 10, "E" Your Signature ... "....I do hope he won't upset Henry..."

Feb 25 12 8:02 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hey Witch2, 99.997% of the time I agree with you. But I have to defend THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN. I absolutely love that film. My son and I watch it once a year and are always amused by it and what people are willing to do to get money. THE BIG CUBE and SKIDOO are absolute stinkers, but I hate to see one of my favorites lumped in with those. I have never seen ANGEL ANGEL DOWN WE GO, but from what I have heard of it, it sounds like another attempt at trying to get the '60s counter culture film goers to buy tickets for a film made by the fat cats of the establishment. MAN! I haven't thought about the old saying "Don't trust anyone over 30" in years!! 35 years to be exact!! Peace, man!

Amongst other things, they put out the first decent release of the '56 Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (see here), and also the '59 Jack The Ripper. And, as for 'probably just ripping the files off MOD discs and slapping them on new discs', wow - I wonder how an Italian language track miraculously found its way onto their Dr. Blood's Coffin release? (ie it's clearly NOT a copy of the MOD disc...)

Remember that just because something is released in Europe from an oddball independent doesn't actually mean anything. The rights ownership can be completely different in Europe, in fact it can be completely different between one European country and another because as far as rights are concerned, European countries are completely separate entities. As far as I'm aware even with the advent of the European Union, rights are still divided by national boundaries, not at EU level. I own some Sinister releases and they are NOT copies of MOD discs, or any other discs. It is also worth noting that all their releases carry the holographic sticker of the SIAE - the Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori. This is the Italian Authors and Publishers Association' and it is reponsible for the protection of copyrighted works Whilst I accept that anything is possible, I find it highly unlikely that they are releasing bootlegs of anything.

The rights ownership can be completely different in Europe, 1) Sinister has discs of DIARY OF A MADMAN and MASTER OF THE WORLD 2) MGM owns worldwide distribution rights to those titles 3) MGM has not licensed those titles to Sinister 4) MGM has not provided Sinister with any film or video materials on these titles Thus, these are not legit releases.

Good on them for putting these films in stores where they belong instead of being held hostage by a greedy studio that has no respect for the genre.
