Yes Bela I think some of Sanders facial expressions is what reminds me the most of the comedic talk show host, I need to re-watch the first Saint film didn't care for it on my first viewing perhaps I was just not in the mood, I haven't seen any of the other Saint films yet. I was watching the third Falcon film (THE FALCON TAKES OVER) last night and as it was nearing the end I fell asleep not because of boredom but just plain tired hope finish it off tonight, I'm beginning to find a new appreciation for Sanders as the Falcon but I can't wait to get to Conway's films. Feb 3 12 10:58 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Finished watching THE FALCON TAKES OVER last night and then move onto THE FALCON'S BROTHER where the transition between both screen and real life brothers (George Sanders and Tom Conway) is made from one Falcon to the other I actually felt bad for Sanders this viewing I'm think watching the movies in the order they were made has made me appreciate his role in this classic series of films more than before but now I look forward to seeing the Conway Falcon films, man I hope Warner's Archive Vol. 2 comes out soon because I will probably see the three movies left on Vol. 1 this weekend. I do have the rest of the films on bootleg DVD-Rs but I rather wait for the official release before watching them again so I'll have to move on to another series of mystery films I could always try to catch with all the Chan films I haven't watched and several Holmes films too and not too mention Sanders Saint films. Feb 17 12 1:10 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Well this past week I finally got done with the last three films of Volume 1 FALCON STRIKES BACK, THE FALCON IN DANGER and THE FALCON AND THE CO-EDS and enjoyed them all again can't wait for Volume 2 in the meantime I'll give the Sanders SAINT films a try. Feb 21 12 5:14 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	...for those who have not yet seen it, 'the devil's cargo' can be viewed (or down-loaded) right here at the internet archives - http://www.archive.org/details/Devils_Cargo_1948 - it's actually not a bad li'l movie... the star, john calvert, is still with us - having turned 100 this past august(!). he's a professional (and well-known) magician and not an actor per se - but he does have a certain, magnetic 'vibe' which is likable and very watchable... i always kinda tend to think of this incarnation of the falcon to be a younger, lesser-known brother to both gay and tom... give it a try and see what you think! note: this internet archives version INCLUDES the footage of mr. calvert poking a little fun at himself (while in character as the falcon) and doing a sample of his magic act (all while waiting for the police, no less!). this footage (about a minute or so) is often cut out of most bootleg copies available...

Well, as I said, if you want to check out Randell anyway, his Lone Wolf film airs Saturday morning after the AM monster-kid line-up of Island of Lost Souls, One Million Years BC and Have Rocket, Will Travel kick off at 6am to make many of us cheer that the 31 Days of Oscar are over. I will be watching The Lone Wolf and His Lady at 10:45am as it's the only one in the Columbia series that I haven't seen.
