Jul 19 11 2:12 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	NOWHERE MAN (UPN 1995-96) Bruce Greenwood as Thomas Veil, a photographer who snaps a photo of an apparent mass execution in Central America by the U.S. military. He calls the picture "Hidden Agenda." I say apparent, because on the evening of the gallery debut of his photographs, he returns from the restroom at a restaurant as he celebrates with his wife only to find her gone and no one knows who he is. The gallery has never heard of him either and his photos are gone as well. Fortunately, he has the negatives and begins a mind-bending journey to discover the secrets of the "Hidden Agenda" and the loss of his identity. Megan Gallagher co-starred as his wife. Despite only airing 1 season, it ends with a satisfying conclusion that answers all his questions, but opens a whole new can of worms that lead to the cliffhanger for a potential second season. —Glenn Last Edited By: DocZilla Aug 27 11 11:07 AM. I have a bad habit of getting into genre shows that only last for a season or two at the most.

Sep 17 11 10:46 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I know some of these mentioned, but these come to my (whacked) mind: HBO'S "John From Cincinnati" (which I refer to as David Lynch goes surfing) "On The Air" (which is David Lynch goes insane) "Twin Peaks" (David Lynch IS insane...my hero!...and the owls are not what they seem) HBO's "Carnivale" HBO's "Deadwood" (special mention to "Star Trek: Enterprise" which only lasted 4 seasons instead of the tradition 7 for the franchise. Enterprise started slow, but as it got darker, it got real good (like DS9 imho), but by then...too late...and the finale of Enterprise was horrible; even cast members such as Jolene Blalock thought so.

Nov 26 11 3:16 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	While dwelling in Jerusalem for a while (frummies … frummies … everywhere can't anyone think for themselves? it's really off-putting) I've become addicted to Hulu even though I want to kill the advertisers. So among other things I've finally caught up with the live action version of The Tick. I still think it was a bad idea doing it as a live-action show but having said this I must say they did a fairly good job of it. Patrick Warburton was born to play the role and I loved the regulars. I suspect American Maid was changed to Captain Liberty (Liz Vassey) 'cause people didn't get the joke or the original costume was too similar to Wonder Woman. The change from Der Fledermaus (Batman) to BatManuel (Nester Carbonell) was probably due to a great audition by the actor. Since it is both live action and a half hour show things are on a much smaller scale than the cartoon. opticalguy1954@yahoo.com (Spencer Gill)

Nov 30 11 12:51 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I'll mention Q.E.D. which was a 1982 series on CBS that told of the adventures of an American professor residing in Edwardian England which was clearly inspired by Sherlock Holmes by way of The Wild, Wild West. In fact, the show's creator John Hawkesworth would soon go on to the Granada Holmes series with Jeremy Brett. The initials stood for Quentin E. Deverill and was played by Sam Waterston and he even had his own Moriarty in Dr. Kilkiss played by Julian Glover. Both Roy Ward Baker and Don Sharp directed an episode of this six chapter series.

It came out in 2005 and was cancelled mid-season, but the entire season including unaired episodes is on DVD. I'm another one who enjoyed CARNIVALE and JERICHO. I think it probably had too many seasons to really be considered short-lived, but I also liked THE 4400, another one that I saw on DVD.

Yes the 4400 had what 4 seasons perhaps still too short for it's fans but for this thread the threshold was two seasons and with that in mind it looks like I'll have to add ELVIRAS'S MOVIE MACABRE (2010) as it doesn't appear a season two will get off the ground even though she (Cassandra Peterson) is trying to get back onto the boob tube. And a shame there was only one Tales of Frankenstein, that could have been so much better. I should add more seasons of UFO and Space 1999 and New Avengers. The humor and the police action were fun; the concept of a squad of cops with psychological disorders was imaginative and offbeat. The cast was fantastic. Miguel Ferrer made a quirky, compelling protagonist. Eileen Davidson was hubba hubba. About a decade later, I got to compliment cast members Don S Davis and Ernie Hudson on how much I enjoyed the show. Both were pleased that I liked it, but neither seemed surprised at my mentioning it. That leads me to suspect Broken Badges has other fans who remember if fondly and mention it to the actors.
