I also can't think of any earthly reason why Columbia would be storing a print of their OLD DARK HOUSE in Universal's vaults.

I may have to watch this in installments over a few nights ... or more.

Columbia got the rights to make OLD DARK HOUSE -- I don't know from who, I don't know if Universal even still HAD the rights to it in the mid-60s.
