Sep 25 11 8:22 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Another vote for the "Good Egg" ledger. Watched HORROR OF FRANKENSTEIN for the first time this week and enjoyed it. It's damn funny, and the production values are pretty good for 1970 Hammer. Ralph Bates does a fine job - I think Cushing would have been a poor choice for this version of the Good Doctor (and what would be the point anyway?). The only real problem is Prowse's monster. It's difficult to take him seriously in the diaper and bandages and poorly-fit skull cap (which I'm guessing was maybe the idea). The film would have been better if the monster had been old-school creepy. Still...the jokes were good, the cleavage was ample, the kensington gore was just gruesome enough, and it was a fun take on the same old story. The final fate of the monster was clever, too.
