Jun 4 11 3:32 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Peculiar tidbit of very trivial trivia: I just received OVER MY SHOULDER, a memoir by the little-known Lloyd Arthur Eshbach, a science fiction fan, writer and publisher of a line of small-press books. It covers mostly the 30s and 40s, and Forry is occasionally mentioned. The odd bit is this: Forry was one of several SF fans and writers interviewed on a Chicago radio show in the late 1940s. He said he just came in from California, where he'd been talking to actor John Payne, himself a devoted science fiction reader. (He wanted to make a science fiction movie--and this was >before< DESTINATION MOON.) But Payne told Forry he wasn't only an SF reader, he was an SF writer with several published stories, which appeared under a pseudonym--which he wouldn't divulge to Forry.
