Sep 19 08 9:20 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Perhaps the poll should have been Hammer films other than "Dracula (Horror Of Dracula)". Of course it's going to get most of the votes! My pick for no.2 Dracula pic would be "Dracula, Prince Of Darkness". It had a great vampire hunter in Father Sandor (Andrew Keir), Suzan Farmer's really cute, it had great cinematography, it was filmed in CinemaScope, and it had the greatest Dracula resurrection sequence ever filmed!

May 28 09 1:26 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	OK, so I voted "Dracula AD 1972"... I know Christopher Lee hates the updated "Dracula's" but I love 'em! And you have Peter Cushing as Van Helsing. "Satanic" is bordering on a Bond plot, but it's still fun. "The Horror of Dracula" is far classier, but I find "AD 1972" and "Satanic" very re-watchable. I met the late Bud Tingwell in 2000 and said he was disappointed he wasn't asked to do the DVD commentary on "Prince of Darkness". He was living in Australia at the time... maybe the DVD company didn't want to fly him to the UK. Mr Tingwell died only a few weeks ago... so now he'll never do the commentary.

For example, I'd dump the Stoneground scenes and also redub most of the dialogue from the youngsters. The early 70s hippie talk is inane! Strangenstein

Jun 2 10 3:55 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I didn't think to count "Brides" as a Dracula film. Despite the title' I thought you meant those Hammers that featured the character of Count Dracula. Hence I choosed "Prince of Darkness." I think it was the first I ever saw. Scared the bejesus out of me! Even now I can watch it in a darken room and it simply drips with atmosphere. Even though Lee doesn't utter a word' his presence dominates the film' once the characters reach the castle. I know that phrase is an ole' chestnut' but it is really true in this case. Love everything about this film. Characters, set design, costumes, music, lighting. Sheer Hammer joy!

(Well okay, Caroline Munro in her Groovy Glory is the BEST "best part", but still...) Anyhow, RISEN gets my vote.

Great Gothic set design and art direction. OK, so I voted "Dracula AD 1972"... I know Christopher Lee hates the updated "Dracula's" but I love 'em! [...] find "AD 1972" [...] very re-watchable I couldn't agree more! "Dracula '72" is a lot like''Taste.." but a lot more camp. "AD 1972" isn't the best, but it's a lot of fun!

Apr 16 11 11:36 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I would find it very hard to choose. I enjoy most of these films. I love Brides Of Dracula but it's not really a Dracula film. Horror Of Dracula is fantastic of course, but I haven't seen it in some years. Prince Of Darkness and Legend Of The Seven Golden Vampires are probably my other favourites out of the list (POD is probably the Hammer Dracula I've seen most, along with Taste The Blood Of Dracula).

Jun 2 12 12:34 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	HORROR is such an excellent film. SEVEN GOLDEN is so much fun, and BRIDES really is a terrific film. PRINCE is a great watch despite Lee's lack of dialog, and SCARS is underrated I think. HORROR gets my vote.
