(01/15/09 11:03 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	I thought I started a thread like this before, but the "Search" portion on this website is pretty lame. With that said... What are the extras (if any) with the 15th Anniversery edition of CHAPLIN, with Robert Downey? Also, I usually go to Amazon.com to read what extras and comments are given about a dvd release, concerning any particular film I might be interested in purchasing...is it true, did I read correctly, that the only extras on the last (Volume 5) box set of the Toler/Chans is entitled- "Fox At The Movies", or some such title? Why? They had decent ones before on subsequent box sets.

At least one review there will usually give a complete rundown of the extras. I guess it's the classicist in me or the romantic or I don't even know… if it's in black-and-white and the dead walk or somebody meddles in God's domain, I've got to see it. --Richard Harlan Smith

(02/06/09 10:13 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	A couple of queries: 1) Does the dvd- "Wild, Wild, Spook House" (aka You'll Find Out), have any extras besides the film itself? 2) I know there are a ton of distributors who have released- "My Favorite Brunette", but is there one that distributes the best print? Or, perhaps with Brunette and another good film as a double feature.

Can't help you with Wild, Wild Spook House, but I do know that April 2008, My Favorite Brunette was remastered and included in a new box-set of 10 Bob Hope movies called Legends of Hollywood: Bob Hope Series. You can read more about it here: http://peterlorrebook.com/dvd06.html This Wild, Wild Spook House (aka You'll Find Out) -- is this the Kay Kyser movie, with Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi? If you want to get the remastered print, it looks like you'll have to go for the box-set. I've heard that it's worth it, as other films in the set have also been remastered. Thank you for the You'll Find Out information. Just looked it up on Amazon. Had no idea this film has a legitimate release. (You can, of course, get bootlegs on eBay . . .) Cheryl

I believe you *can* order the duel Brunette & Son of Paleface alone on Amazon. At least, I saw it listed. The Son of... is listed as HD. (I wonder how this one plays, if you don't have a HD TV or Player)? If this is the same as the one in the box set, I just might order it. As far as the "You'll Find Out" DVD...that's why I query here on CHFB. You fine folk always point me in the right direction on things. PS: Has anyone purchased the Ultimate CasablancaCollection? How are all the "Extras" on that?

If so, is it worth the purchase? Again, I would rent it from Netflix, but their copy is the one before, minus the featurette. This was the same case, with my other Hitchcock DVD purchase- The Lodger.
