Hello all,
I remember hearing a legend about some type of monster spirit that would disguise itself as a pretty senorita, and wait for young men to pass on horseback on an isolated stretch of road. The woman would ask for a ride into the nearest town. Once riding behind the man, however, she would change into her true form (which I seem to recall was something resembling a toothy crow), and force the hapless soul to gaze upon her, at which point something pretty negative would happen.
I had thought this was the hupia, but a google search on the hupia doesn't return any stories resembling what I just described. Anybody know more about this?
