Make that Maureen O'Sullivan, and I've got your back.O'Sullivan for you and O'Hara for me. We're good. Getting back to Valerie Gaunt: Notice the dummy she's hovering over ? Hadn't seen this pic before.That is the dummy that was made for Van Helsing's discovery of Harker's body in Dracula's crypt. Don't know if they actually ended up filming it or not, prior to just using actor john Van Eyssen to act as his own corpse.

A friend of mine saw Katy Wild (EVIL OF FRANKENSTEIN) at Pinewood Studios a couple of years ago. She was just visiting friends. Thinks she now lives in
Australia. There was a rumor that she was director Freddie Francis's girlfriend at one point, but who knows? She was very effective in "Evil" and
I think was in Francis's DR. TERROR'S HOUSE OF HORRORS.

Veronica Carlson was my favorite followed by Ingrid Pitt, Caroline Munro who was very nice to speak to at a "Chiller" show some years back and
Valerie Leon...ranked up there. Beautiful eyes

Hammer definitely had a knack for using beautiful women in their films, I do love the English rose type. And even in Legend of
the 7 Golden Vampires, they cast, in my opinion, the loveliest actress at Shaw Brothers, Shih Szu.
I've always loved Dana Gillespie in The Lost Continent, now there's a LADY. Veronica Carlson is nice too, same with Caroline Munroe (though she shines brightest in Golden Voyage of Sinbad). |

Barbara Shelley was my all time fave for all the reasons listed by all her other fans - beautiful, intelligent and warm. A combination that's hard to
beat. The lovely ladies pushing her a close second are equally obvious - Caroline Munro, Stephanie Beacham and Lesley Ann Down.
A man could be most contented with those fine ladies! |
