While we love make-believe horror movies and novels, there are real-life horrors out there such as having a loved one with a fatal disease. Actor and writer
Jim Beaver has written a memoir on his experiences surrounding the illness and death of his wife Cecily Adams (daughter of Get Smart star Don Adams)
in 2003-2004:

All due respect to the loss of his wife - and I'm sure the book is good - but is this the same Jim Beaver who was working on the book on George Reeves?
Anything to report on that book?

He's been working on the Reeves book for at least 26 years?!

A CENTURY OF REEVESES.
Except I bet he finishes it someday! |

It's a good thing he's taken time on the Reeves book. New facts have come to light in the last ten years that would have been missed. His wife's
illness and death along with raising a daughter alone has also slowed things up, as you'd probably understand.

Jim was an advisor on the film HOLLYWOODLAND.
I picked up "Life's That Way" on Saturday. Recommended. He's a very good writer. Mark Redfield

So nothing concrete to report on the progress of the Reeves book?

Last year at a "Supernatural" convention, I asked Jim Beaver about his George Reeves research and he said he'd been working on the book "for
30 years.... and had interviewed a lot of people who are now no longer with us." I didn't specifically ask him when the book would be published, but I
got the impression from our conversation that he didn't have any target date in mind and that he wasn't in any hurry.
