Despite the value of the film itself in the history of horror movies, ANY lost Chaney footage is still worth getting excited over. You get to see the legend in action, after all. Plus the LAM makeup is iconic, and probably means a lot to a number of people who post on the CHFB forums. For me it identifies as "The Creature" from WGN's "Creature Features" in the late 60's, and subsequently all those amazing stills I found in any number of horror-film books. I still doubt if the recovery-rumors will really pan out, but I hope I'm wrong.
