Somewhere along the line, Disney began a two-wave Platinum schedule--usually in March or April and then October. I've collected almost every one, except for The Lion King and The Jungle Book (not my favorites, by a long shot), and I've noticed a slight reduction in quality. Usually, it has to do with the supplements. Still, they're a great bargain!
Now here's the interesting part: Pinocchio has never been a Platinum, and neither has Dumbo or Alice in Wonderland. Sleeping Beauty is this October's release, though it hit shelves just a few years back as a special edition DVD. Although I agree that SB deserves the Platinum treatment, I wonder why they didn't do that in the first place? And don't you think Disney should include some of its live action classics as Platinums, stuff like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or Mary Poppins?
What Platinums are in your collection?
