The usual band of delinquents from Nashville will be there (The Exotic Ones, groupies, hanger-ons, hunchbacks, masked wrasslers, etc.) and I will, as always,
be bringing the big box o' booze!

Ditto for Zogstar67 and Mrs. Whack, if anyone had any doubt. It looks like we will be able to stay for the sunday night festivities for the first time this
year.

Looking forward to seeing all my friends and fans in Louisville this weekend! During the show I'll mostly be at my table, with lovely Linda Harrison on one
side and my pals William Stout and Bernie Wrightson on the other. Please come by and say hello!

If anyone's on the monster fence about attending, remember that on Saturday at 7 p.m., the Rondo Awards Ceremony, featuring almost a dozen winners, and
LOTS of surprises. This year should be amazing.

The overall Wonderfest program is jam-packed with cool stuff this year. I took a look at the schedule, which is up at www.wonderfest.com and was totally
chagrined that so many things I want to attend overlap with each other! I guess that's a pretty good problem to have though.

I'll be arriving mid afternoon on Friday. I'm sharing travel with my old friend Larry Thomas. It's his first Wonderfest and he's looking
forward to it. Larry & Mike (Precode) Schlesinger (this years Monster Kid Of The Year) are pals going way back. The two of them successfully ran Moviola
(then The Movies) repertory cinema in Cincinnati back in the 80's. Looking forward to seeing all my friends.

Zogstar67 and Mrs Whack (aka Chris and Lisa Herzog) have just returned from Wonderfest 08, quite possibly the best we have attended. Kudos to everyone
involved in this spectacular event.
Here we are in a MonsterKid rite of passage, posing with Bob Burns' original King Kong armature. Bob is incredibly generous to share this piece of history so freely with those who appreciate it. We will always feel a connection whenever we see it on the screen from now on! Thanks to our new friend Larry Thomas for taking the photo of this great memory. If you missed this year's Wonderfest, you missed a lot. We encourage each and every Classic Horror fan to check out this fantastic show.

zogstar67, how in the world did you manage to get yourself into the same photo twice? Look at the guy sitting at the table in the background! It even looks
like he's wearing a brown t-shirt like you! Bald, glasses, goatee! Is that your evil twin?
How did you manage that? Did you travel back in time to watch your own picture being taken? Ten minutes later I'm still laughing about this picture! Zogstar, it's like the guy in the background is looking at you and thinking, "What am I doing over there when I know I'm sitting right here?"

Why yes, it is my evil twin. And one of us is fated to die in the Black Room!

But it's the day after---which of the twins won? Zig or Zog? Tune in tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel!
Seriously, what are the odds of that happening? It's amazing. If this was an Alfred Hitchcock movie it would have played out like Cary Grant raising his had at the wrong time inadvertantly answering to the name Mr. Kaplan in North by Northwest! |
