Thank you so much, Captain and Mark! I did the 'polar bear' at least 25 years ago. It hung on Jen's bedroom wall all during her childhood. I
believe she has it with her now. I used a photo from a magazine for reference. That's about all I can remember.
Mark--Are you sure you want to mention me in the same sentence with Wah Chang?

jboogeyman, you are just so polite! No, no, anything goes here in the CHFB Art Gallery thread. The last piece I posted was a painting of my parent's dog.
The Classic Monster Art Challenge is a totally different thread. Frank Dietz started it and chooses a different character for everybody to do some art to every month. The first month was Bela Lugosi as a vampire, the second was The Creature From the Black Lagoon, and this month is Mr. Hyde. Scroll down a bit in this folder and you'll find the thread. to post it. I thought you'd have to do it yourself, and then Captain Marvel came through--but that's what super heroes are for!

ZD - You've really captured Lon's likeness in that Alligator People sketch.... and that polar bear cub on the previous page is just beautiful. Terrific work.
JB - Is that really your first painting? I like the mottled background tones and the overhanging forehead you've given Frankie. It lends a lot of depth to his eyes. Very nice job. |

Hey, thanks for all the kind words. I got the background from the famous Gogos painting, I just love that back ground, so Im more of less going to use it and
all 3 of my paintings.

Thanks Zombie dad.. I enjoyed myself doing these, and will more forword on paiting 3 more. Thinking about the robot from phantom creeps - Dracula and Im sorry,
off hand I cant recall the Main Char. from White Zombie... Think I'll go watch that now.
But my wife, wanted me to do 3 updated icons, such as Jason Voorhees, Mike Myers and Leatherface.... Either way I want to hear from you guys... Down the road, I want to get bigger areas to paint so I can add backgrounds, such as the Creature swampy home, and Draculas castle ect... |
