I'm from a small town in the Midwest; I live in NYC. BIG difference between "roads" and "streets"! The Tumbler would hardly even fit on many here...

There's a degree of that, yes. Still graphics images, and moving "real" ones, are indeed two separate animals (though over-CGI is trying in vain to erase that separation.)
Also, there is a similar difference between fantasy- and reality- based stories. The Frankenstein Monster, Count Dracula, and Larry Talbot the Wolfman would be a tough fit with the totally prosaic, day-to-day grind real world, too.
Note: NONE OF WHAT I'VE WRITTEN, HERE OR ABOVE, IS A CRY FOR A RETURN TO THE ADAM WEST TEMPLATE!
One extreme is as thin as the other!
