I used to have both on 8mm (those wonderful Blackhawk Films releases), but I donated them to the Joe Kubert School and they were mysteriously gone -- along
with the projector! -- a year later.
I've tracked down a fair copy on vhs of MAN'S GENESIS, but BRUTE FORCE (the sequel) has proved elusive. I purchased the Em Gee Library cutdown PRIMITIVE MAN (a condensation of both MAN'S GENESIS and BRUTE FORCE, released by Biograph shortly after the originals had their days in the circuit), which is frustrating for what it doesn't include.
Also seeking: any of the British PREHISTORIC PEEPS films, adapted from the popular 1890s PUNCH cartoon series of one-panel gags by Reed; the first was made in 1908, but I've found listings in UK zines of the period up to 1918 for then-new PEEPS films, all from various studios.
Also seeking: a sharp copy of THE LOST WHIRL (1926), a live-action Bray short with nifty stop-motion animation dinosaurs.
