In retrospect, "some folks" seem to have had a good point about both Waco and Ruby Ridge, since pretty much the same thing happened with these fundie
Mormons, and not a shot had to be fired. Nobody had to be shot on either side, and nobody was burned to death. And there, they had a whole town around them.
Better methods were used.

OM, welcome to what Sam Clemens called "The Damned Human Race."

I just can't wrap my head around the idea that the same people who "defended" the Ruby Ridge/Waco wackos remain completely silent about, or are sympathetic to, cops who gun down unarmed men (one for reaching for his wallet, the other for "moving his car in a threatening manner".)As Vonnegut once wrote: "Color was everything".

Wow, I didn't realize Bugliosi supported her release as well. That does give one pause.

It made me wonder if maybe he's gone a little flaky during the ensuing years.

No politics goading here, just facts:
Heard an extended interview with Bugliosi on the radio recently. I'm no supporter of the Iraq mess, nor of the present Admin. ... But the shapeless ranting he did on the subject even caused the HOST to wonder if maybe Vincent had lost it a bit over the years... -Craig W. |

I spoke with him three weeks ago at length, and I found him to be organized and lucid (did an interview for the magazine).
A number of DAs across the country are apparently using the legal map in Bugliosi's book as a template (as he intended) to charge Geo. W. Bush with murder. |

A case has come up where they are trying to expedite a man whoin his youth, worked in a death camp and was known to have committed many btutal crimes against
the inmates,
The man is 94 now, blind and senile with alzheimers and they still want him prosecuted before he dies, even though hes too senile to know whats happening, Do they prosecute , I am torn on this one, because the evil in the man died with his memories and personality, but once he was very evil indeed.

Ted, I guess you had a more calming effect on him than Dennis Miller!
As far as bringing Geo. up on murder charges, I understand the impulse; but that endeavor will likely have about as much traction as did the similar one, which lasted for years, re: Kissinger & Nixon.

Dennis Miller is an idiot. I'm not. That could conceivably have made a difference.

Citizen Vince... | ||

Vince, like Orson Welles, had his one BIG hit early in his career and has been trying to satisfy an equally BIG ego ever since with a sequel. But unlike
Welles, he did it mostly with luck. Maybe now he is a few people shy of a jury, but he keeps trying...

As a prosecutor & deputy DA, he won 21 out of his 21 murder cases-- and of the 106 felony cases he prosecuted, he won 105.
Not bad, I'd say. Not every case an attorney works is guaranteed to make headlines. |
