Thanks to both Docs for that video reminder. I'd made note of those videos before, but that obviously got
lost in the internet shuffle some time ago. Now that I've bookmarked it, I should be busy for the next 5 years!

You're very welcome. One slightdisappointment with the Archive interviews on YouTube- It shows a second of the Mary Tyler Moore interview on the opening
credits of their presentation, but the interview itself doesnt seem to be on YouTube. Guess I'll have to check out the other 400 something others first!

It's her earnest facial expressions that sell that video.

Bill, the penguin piece is great!
And, Mattel, the lion story is incredible. A local news station picked this up and ran it on the news this evening. Tell me that's not some of the best video you've ever seen. And they call them dumb animals! The station didn't run the entire clip with the wife near the end. That's amazing. |

Back in the day, Sci-Fi Channelhad a rather lame weekly infotainment program called "Sci-Fi Vortex". One week, to help promote MYSTERY SCIENCE
THEATER 3000 --which had just movedover from Comedy Central-- they put MST3K's Mike Nelson and Mary Jo Pehl in acrossfire discussion segment with a
sci-fi critic/screenwriter.I remember watching it at the time (early 1997), and here it is nowfor your amusement/ bemusement:

Taking his cue from the ultra violent blood thirsty imaginations of
Brutal Bob Kane and Bilious Bill Finger this Batman knows how to deal with fleeing criminals. He stops 'em DEAD in their tracks! |

The lion video is very touching. But the little boy in me wants to see an altered version where the lion goes after the lady and the lioness eats the guy. It
should end with a shot of two fat lions lounging next to a pile of bones, with the same music of course.

Bill, the penguin piece is great!
"Great" in the sense that it's a terrifically amusing use of CGI, right Cap? And I certainly agree. ... Reed |
