Heck, if someone could have just given me the Them link I would post it in it.Couldn't you find it yourself? It took me just a moment to locate this one (and another, too). I've never seen THE SHADOW ON THE WINDOW. What elements reminded you of THEM!? Stock footage shot for THEM! turned up in Scorsese's THE AVIATOR a couple of years ago. |

Doesn't Douglas Spencer have a walk-on in Them!? I used to confuse him with Richard Deacon (go figure!), and I believe they're both in
this one. Willis Bouchey also has a small part, looking mighty serious and Ike-like in Washington. Doesn't Harry Wilson actually say, "Please, my
noyves?", Brooklyn-style? He's a hard guy to miss. I just saw him in Some Like It Hot. I think he had acromegaly, not so bad as
Rondo, though.

I remember seeing this X film in the cinema in the UK as a 14 year old school boy.
It scared the **** out of me and I've never liked ants since. When I grew up I worked in film and tv as a bit player and found out how it was all done. (I can laugh at horrors now...  )

Here's a message I found posted on my local library's Web site about a movie that HAS to be THEM!:
"On Tuesday, July 8 enjoy a science fiction classic. Nuclear tests in the desert result in the growth of huge mutant ants. As these ants menace the Southwest United States, a team of investigators search for a way to control their spread. All movies will take place at 6:45 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium. Look for more information about upcoming movies. Due to promotional restrictions, we are not permitted to advertise the movie title to the general public." I found the last sentence to be curious. Maybe it will attract a larger audience that way. |
