One of the many great things about "The Experiment" is when the MRI-type device (which looks like a big metallic slice of cake) is fired up, with David Vincent inside, the display shows a tinted x-ray image of his skull and neck vertebrae, whereas his brain is solid and in full color, and it twitches/throbs! From a real-world POV, this is pretty silly, but it gives the show a great pulpy feel, and the sight of that brain is somewhat similar to some imagery in George Pal's THE POWER, released a year later.
We enjoyed that so much that we took a step back and watched the second episode, called "The Experiment' with Roddy McDowall and Laurance Naismith. No dissolving aliens here, but the sets were incredible, especially this MRI-type machine that the aliens use to try and turn David Vincent into a zombie.

It's no good if your guests can't stay awake (right, Count Gamula?).
