Saul, again, your A Blind Bargain piece and this Phantom bust are better than any of the commercial busts that have been produced. When are the two of you
going to begin mixing up the resin?
Stunning work. Just beautiful. How tall is the bust? Clay? Sculpey? |

Hi guys. thank you so much for the geat comments on the Phantom sculpt!
This was sculpted by my good friend Mark VanTine, i am honored and previleged to have this in my collection. i'm going to offer this as a resin model kit within the next couple of weeks, i'm not sure if this is the right place to sell. please Mods point me towards the right direction...
the bust is in 1/4 scale which is about 51/4 inches wide at the shoulders and 7inches tall from the top of the head to the bottom of the torso. its going to include a stone base with stone walls behind him and music sheets to spread on the base saying "Don Juan Triumphant" as in the film. with the base its going to be about 9 inches tall. i'm so glad i can share this with other Chaney/silent film fans. again thank you. I concur with everyone else! This is truly a work of art! I'd love to have something like this in my
collection. I love the two button-thingies (on the upper lapels with which to attach an opera cape, no?)...great attention to detail.

What else have the two of you sculpted? Surely neither of you is a novice. Are there any other works that the pair of you have done that we would be familiar
with?

clay here and there but not as a professional. as for Mark Vantine, thats another story. he's a schooled artist and has done professional work for numerous
Companies throughout the years.

Mark's Phantom is stunning, Saul---but you know that I think that your A Blind Bargain piece is as well.

Not a problem advertising your resin offerings in the CHFB. That one of the reasons we're here.
And that Phantom sculpt -- along with the Blind Bargain piece in the other thread -- are two of the most desirable sculpts I've ever laid eyes on. GARY L. PRANGE "Sic gorgiamus allos subjectos nunc." Check out my YouTube Video of the Week! (updated 3-24-08) |
