Never mind I forgot I put my account on hold, but they were kind enough to reverse all the charges and just told me to mail it to them when I get it.

I've been really impressed by the level of Costumer Service Netflix offers.... especially if you call them.

re-start it when I have some free time in late July.

I have a co-worker who has taken advantage of Netflix and just loves it. It's easy to give glowing comments when the service exceeds your expectations, and
apparently it's done just that.
Sometimes he'll put a movie at the top of his list despite the fact that it states it might be a long wait, yet there it is in just a matter of days. He's been a member for a year and a half. He also says the disks have always arrived clean as a whistle, with nary a blemish. When's the last time you got an older dvd from the video store or library that was clean as a whistle? I cannot remember! I'm seriously contemplating joining up. |

You won't find a bigger fan of Netflix than me. I get my movies turned around in three days. The catalog is everything available on DVD. Customer service
is great.

Blockbuster also seem to have or allow more OOP to be sent out. Seems like Fright Night 2 was listed on nextfilx but unavailable but I was able to rent it with Blockbuster. |

I've been with them for most of this year. USPS has broken at least 4 dvds that have been sent to me. That is a bummer but it aint't Netflix's
fault. A couple of Asian dvds have been unplayable which makes me wonder what people are doing with these dvds besides watching them.
It is a great way to expand your viewing horizons. There are more films that I'd like to watch that I would have to buy otherwise just to get to see. So count me in as a happy camper fer now. The instant downloads are nice too for films that aren't on dvd yet.

My turn around is exactly 1 day!
1 day? by three days, I mean that I mail it on Monday and get it on Wednesday. Are you saying you mail it on Monday and get it on Tuesday? If so, then I'll change mine to two days turn around. |

SteveZodiak wrote: Yeah, I wasn't clear. I mean I mail it on Monday, Netflix gets it on Tuesday and sends out the next one on that same day. I get it on Wednesday. So,
yeah technically it is 3 days. Damn that fuzzy math!

I dropped Netflix because they started delaying how many DVDs they sent me and how quickly. This is routinely what happens when customers watch too many fims
per month. It's called Throttling.

the end of the waiting list for high demand new releases. I haven't noticed that causing a problem too many times for me personally. For example, I got
NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN in my mailbox the day after it was released. I get four at a time and turn all those around 1-2 times per week.

I NEVER, EVER ordered "new releases". It was always older catalogue stuff. At first the titles came fast and furious for a couple of months, and then
once I was a regular and they pegged me as getting too much for my money, they slowed me down. I certainly wouldn't believe Netflix. This has been related
by many hardcore Netflix renters.

My current turnaround is 3 days (meaning, return disc in the mail on Monday, new rental received on Wednesday) - unless their nearest warehouse doesn't have a particular obscurity in stock, in which case I get an email telling me where it's coming from, and to expect another day or so in shipment.

No throttling here, but I do know someone who was "throttled" but for good reason. He was ordering three movies, burning each day of delivery and
mailing back for three new movies. At that rate, Netflix loses just on postage.

Well, it seems we've got both ends of the spectrum represented here and on that last site.
But I hear more good than bad, and from people that I trust, so I may just go for it. Especially now that my television show consumption is virtually being snuffed by the crap we've all been venting about on various threads lately. I'm just not going to watch reality, or Hogans, or Lohans, or whatever other battle oriented cooking, modeling, or mating shows they parade out there. |

I have experienced sending in movies to the Birmingham Netflix site on a saturday and not getting credited for arrival until tuesday or wednesday. This is only
50 miles away so I'm not sure what the cause was and it happened more than once. But overall it averages out very nicely for me.

I'd never heard the 'throttling' thing before. There were a couple of periods when I thought they were holding back on me, but it seemed to pass.
