I thought it was pretty good. Not great like Iron Man, but better than the Ang Lee Hulk. The poetic desert tank ballet/combat sequence isn't topped in TIH, but it is still the stronger film.
If there was a cameo "Filmed on Ice" like I've heard (not the Tony Stark cameo, but the OTHER cameo), it isn't in the current film (though I've heard there are cut scenes of Banner trying to kill himself in the Arctic, so the scene may show up on DVD).
I was reading Marvel comics in the 70's. In my mind, the tv show's origin is what I always thought the Hulk's origin was in the first place (self-experimentation gone wrong) because the few Hulk apperances or comics I had didn't contradict the tv origin. I only found out about the gamma bomb much later on. It was great to hear the Lonely Man theme in the theatre, as well as the Bixby-ster's cameo.
