The Image DVD is a real treat, giving us the feature, a bonus documentary on the animator, and a short animated promotional film for soap made by Reiniger for exhibition during the days of silent cinema. Prior to this release, the only work of hers I had seen was the 1921 film THE STAR OF BETHLEHEM, which was on a bargain bin compilation of Christmas shorts.

When I first saw her animation on the Christmas short, there were no credits listed, so it wasn't until some time after finding the PRINCE ACHMED DVD that I learned it was one of her works.
