Bill Warren wrote: Bill, I was having the same problems with the Quicktime error. I don't use AOL, but the rest of the problem rang true for me. I did a little searching, found a fix, applied it and am working fine now. I'll try to list out what I modified. Hopefully, this will work for you. Number one, find your QUICKTIME player and open it up. (this may be the hardest step - it should be somewhere in your list
of programs) My player may be an older version, 6.5.2, as it resides on a Windows98 machine. So if the steps below don't look familiar, or close enough,
disregard.
You then open QUICKTIME PREFERENCES. Select BROWSER PLUG-IN and at the bottom of that box you should see MIME SETTINGS. Click on that box to open up a list of files that Quicktime is associated with. Make sure that the bottom choice, MISCELLANEOUS, is unchecked. You will then "OK" or "X" out of the boxes or menus that got you there. No sooner did I make this change, then all the YouTube videos worked, using Flash instead of trying to use quicktime. Good luck. |

Yo, Bill! | ||

Bill, have you had a chance to try this 'fix', or have you deserted this thread altogether?
I'll interpret silence as desertion. |

And the Joe Besser and Jim Hawthornes are here and a new Joe Mc Doakes.
All I need are the Hugh Herbert and Dudley Dickersons and a few Schilling and Lanes. Oh yes the Complete Big Business by Laurel and Hardy. And a little Esquerita too. |

The Gumnaam cliphas to be the most infectiously cool and endearing videos I've seen in a long time. I think I got whiplash watching it.

Any Weire Brothers fans? This clip of their dance routine impresses me to no end. There's nothing like this in Hollywood nowadays:

And the Route 66 with Boris, Lon and Peter was there too, and the Pretty Things, Nicolette Larson and 4 Joe Mc Doakes.
Its fascinating to see a band in the 60s and then see them over 40 years later still sounding great. There are some great Beach Boy clips from Warm in the Sun,thier new CD of songs that were good, but not hits. All we need is Schilling and Lane and It Pays to be Ignorant. |
