Tim Lucas VW wrote: There will be some more titles from the MGM library, some of them from brand-spankin'-new transfers, appearing on Monsters HD later this year--keep checking that hard-to-find, impossible-to-read-until-you-zoom-in schedule on their website. It will include some good titles not on R1 DVD. |

I hope so. Been disappointed since going to it last November. Hadn't seen Fiend Without A Face in Lord knows how many years - but thanks to MHD if
I wanted to I could commit every line of dialogue to memory.
Is their decision to rerun the same movies ad nauseum the result of clearance problems? Or is there some difficulty in creating HD programming? If so, why pick turkeys like Magic? Is there anyone out there who can answer these questions? |

If you've been avoiding Monsters HD due to their 2 movies a day rotation of the last few months...get back there now! They are back on the pre-Oct 2007
schedule, including monsteramas, the Omen legacy, the Friday the 13th panels and a bunch of new flicks. They've been showing previews for The Thing (orig
and Carpenter versions), The Day the Earth Stood Still, Theater of Blood, The Raven and just had a Planet of the Apes marathon...good stuff!
On the downside, they've been showing Vampire Circus, but in 4:3...what's up with that?

Personally, I couldn't give a rat's rump if they showed the movies in HD or 4:3 or 6 7/8ths - just go into all the vaults that exist and show
everything that they can get their hands on! Broadcasting whatever was shown on Chiller Theater and Creature Feature and Fright Night and the Channel 7 4:30
Movie et al would make this dessicated old Monster Kid a happy camper.

"House of Dracula' and "It! The Terror From Beyond Space" have been previewed recently, no dates given, picture quality looked spectacular.

Monsters is still rolling on Cablevision in New York...so it is a Dish related issue. Though without Dish I can't imagine that the Vooms could last long.
I've emailed both carriers and signed the petition...now the vaiting begins.
