Miss Rebecca Femm is right. If you're even contemplating going to WonderFest it probably would be a good idea to book a room now. If your plans change
you can always cancel it. It's a monster kid convention and you're gonna have a great time if you go.

The Wonderfest news page and online flyer have been updated. Here's the guest lineup so far:
Keir Dullea Gary Lockwood Linda Harrison Bernie Wrightson Cortlandt Hull Bob & Kathy Burns William Stout Lorne Peterson Frank Dietz Good group, except for the Dietz guy. The Old Dark Club House will be returning, the Universal Monster Army will be back and the Rondo Awards Ceremony will apparently be held on Saturday early evening, with many of this year's winner expected to be in attendance. Plus I hear the ceremony will have a really cool new "look." They have a new plan for Sunday night, too. The musty old "Banquet" has been retired to make room for something new and exciting. I think it's going to be the best yet (we seem to say that every year!).

Executive West SOLD OUT! | ||

The Wonderfest website has announced that the Executive West Hotel (ground zero for the convention) has sold out of it's block of rooms.
Anyone wishing to book a room for the show at this point will need to do so at the sister hotel, The Executive Inn, which is directly across the street.
The site also says that the rooms for this year's show have sold out in record time! It's going to be another great Wonderfest!

Great News! Is there any word yet on what the Sunday night activity will be? This just announced:
It's a mingling affair this July as we host a more laid-back gathering of friends, fans, guests and ape captors with a rooftop cookout at the Exec West. Ice-cold beer and chilled wines will wash down a summery repast of hors d'oeuvres, burgers and dogs as we get together for laughs, awards and fond farewells-- plus the obligatory gorilla with the lampshade on his head and his pants around his ankles courtesy of the fabulous cash bar! The Lawgiver guarantees no karaoke or other felony-level crimes will take place at this more casual, more fun and more affordable (!) gala and cover charges and seating limits will be available soon.

Unfortunately, due to an unscheduled travel requirements for my job (10 days on the USS Bataan at sea), Marian and I will be unable to attend Wonderfest this
year. I hope everyone has a great time, and have a beer (or two) for me in the ODCH! Hopefully, we'll get to see many of you at the Classics Movie Monster
Con in October.
