Okay, we've discussed which movies we saw first, which we saw most often, which we saw least, which we still haven't seen, so how about this little twist?
Which movie have you seen most often in a theatrical setting? In other words, on the big screen, whether indoors or at a drive-in, first-run or retro, at a multiplex or at a museum.
And, no, no matter how big your Big Screen TV, that doesn't count.
I'm guessing that the most often-named would be STAR WARS. On the more horror side, I bet it would maybe be JAWS or perhaps THE EXORCIST.
It's kind of cheaty, I guess, but the originator of this thread doesn't -- yet -- have a firm answer. I've seen many movies twice in the theater, but off-hand, I can remember only two genre films which I saw three times on the big screen.
These would be, yes, STAR WARS (in a couple of different versions) and NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, which I saw twice at drive-ins and once indoors. I'm gonna guess that I've seen some others three or even more times, but I'm gonna have to think on that.
These are of course, genre only. Horror and sci-fi and fantasy only need apply. Myself, I have seen one movie 16 times in the theater, but it was not one of ours. And, no, I'm not saying what it was. Too embarrassing.
So...which movie have you seen most often theatrically?
