G-34 INT. BEDROOM CLOSEUP BED As nurse bends over and removes the wolfbane from about Mina's neck, Mina stirs restlessly, but does not open her eyes. SWING CAMERA REVERSE SHOT - Bed in f.g. as nurse leaves bed, crosses to Dracula - he still stands with his cloak shielding his face and directs her with silent gestures to the boudoir. Nurse exits, closing door behind her. Dracula starts into f.g. towards Mina.

This shows an intention to place DRACULA in a more contemporary setting than we may have initially thought....

So glad the book has inspired all this wonderful commentary. I was always out numbered with my friends when I even hinted that Browning's DRACULA was one of the best films of the classic era. Thanks to Gary's book, I can now say that without having to wear a bullet-proof vest! It's a new day for Browning and his film. Don't forget that Medford had the advantage of studying Browning's rushes and was able to try and one-up him. Yet he still was not able to reign in Rubio or Carlos V.
Hey Rak, I think you have to down another one or two over the mention of the Medford's Browning cut! Should I send you some Bromo Seltzer?? Do they still make Brioschi.
