The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds |

The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds is now a reality: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7351437.stm It's one of those movies I failed
to stay awake for on 8 All Night in Cleveland in the 70s. I still haven't seen it. I think it might be tied up in a rights dispute.

Probably located next to WHAT MAKES RABBIT RUN in some storage locker.

I think you've conflated two titles. I've heard of WHAT MAKES SAMMY RUN and RABBIT RUN, but I've never heard of WHAT MAKES RABBIT RUN. I could be
wrong, of course.

I'm thinking of the movie with James Caan in an early role. Ray Dennis Steckler recently found a copy of a print and donated it to the city of Reading, PA
where it was filmed. Steckler is also a Reading native.

That's RABBIT RUN, adapted from a novel by John Updike. I think Updike is from that part of Pennsylvania, too. |

Ok, that's the one. I was trying to make a point about recent films that seem to have been lost to history in spite of the video boom.

I taped RABBIT, RUN off local TV (NYC) about five or six years ago, and MAN IN THE MOON MARIGOLDS off, I think, TCM (it was uncut, no commercials) maybe 18-24
months ago.

Ouch---I missed it, and that's one I keep an eye out for. You've given me hope, at least.
