Does anyone remember the JERRY LEWIS Sci/Fi-Comedy WAY...WAY OUT (1966)? I know it is not available on DVD but was it ever released on ANY HOME VIDEO format
(VHS,BETA,LD) in the U.S. ? I'd like to see FOX release this in its OAR!

I know it never came out on laser. I checked a couple of reference books and they show no signs of it ever getting any kind of official video release.

I saw it at a theatre doubled with ONE MILLION YEARS BC. Who ever owns the rights might think it is too adult for a Jerry Lewis movie. I noticed BOEING BOEING
hasn't come out either. It has some funny bits , but it is only fair, but I would like to see it again, it has been a long time.

RKS- Did you catch BOEING on TCM yesterday? "Only fair" is charitable; Curtis tries nobly to push this stone up the hill, but Jerry seems leaden. It's a long, LONG movie... -Craig W.

I guess no one forgot that WAY... WAY OUT simply stinks. And that's coming from a die-hard Jerry Lewis AND Dick Shawn fan.

WAY WAY OUT has some funny moments, mostly from Dick Shawn and Horward Morris (as the horney space guy). But yeah, it pretty much sucks. Brian Keith has some
good stuff. I like how he is always getting the television channels on his commucation device. "There goes that indian falling off his horse again".

WAY WAY OUT has never been released to home video in any format. However, The Fox Movie Channel runs a great-looking scope print from time to time.
BOEING BOEING was released on VHS years ago. Turner Classic Movies recently aired a nice letterboxed print. |

Jerry Lewis had so little regard for this film, it was the only feature he made in which he didn't have his own personal print!

WAY WAY OUT and BOEING BOEING are not among Lewis' best movies, but he's made a lot of good films. So I think he's allowed a clunker or two
here or there. He's only human, right?

Actually, she was one of the few things that held the thing together! |

Well.. yeah. I didn't say it was his worst. That definitely is held aside for SLAPSTICK, or probably even more for DON'T RAISE THE BRIDGE, LOWER THE
RIVER. I couldn't even get ten minutes into that one!
