I thought it might be cool to have a &quot;Movie Nights&quot; thread where members may talk about get-togethers they've hosted or have attended at some of their friends' or relatives' homes.

I've always had fairly frequent Movie Nights with friends, but I'm trying to make them more regular if I can.

First up was a Three Stooges short - THREE PESTS IN A MESS (1944) ... the Stooges are always a hit with this group, and this one had some Halloween moments.

BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN was the first feature... how could we go wrong? The guests loved it, all laughed at Una O&#39;Connor&#39;s zaniness, all came near tears
when the monster was shunned and trying to make a friend.

			<description><![CDATA[ Fun was had at last night&#39;s Movie Night, but it didn&#39;t quite come off as planned. Mr. 80s and Doc Mangles arrived a little early, at a quarter after
ten, but said they said they couldn&#39;t stay very long, as both had to work the next day.

thing&#39;s only 60 minutes long, but I napped 15 minutes in for over two hours, continually rewinding it to start it again &amp; again! Now I&#39;m back at

several nights to keep re-re-starting it over &lt;&lt;

			<description><![CDATA[ Yes, Reed, I don&#39;t know what it is about Movie Nights, but they just don&#39;t always seem to go right. Over the decades I&#39;ve been trying this with
various people, including different groups of guys over the years who are bonafide horror/sf junkies like we are, and yet things sometimes went sour. Seems
like there will be a golden period where things work out well and then we&#39;ll hit a &quot;why even bother&quot; stretch.

films. They&#39;d rather go outside to smoke and drink and chat. The other factor is that there has been a very strong push from a few guys to watch other
