I wonder if this film had an impact on the young David Cronenberg, given that the ending is very similar to that of SCANNERS.

Fair review, Dave. I've only seen the 1964 The Devil Doll once. There were some extremely creepy scenes in it but it didn't overall live up to my expectactions.

The MST version is a pretty good late episode (not that I've ever thought the show was really slipping toward the end anyway).

DUMMY TALKS is non-horror. A midget is used as a 'living' ventriloquist dummy to make a murderer confess. I guess CHARLIE MCCARTHY, DETECTIVE also rates a mention. At one point Charlie gets up under his own power and tootles around on a dance floor.
