        <![CDATA[ This Thursday TCM is airing the obscure 1966 French-Italian version of THE MAN WHO LAUGHS, starring the mighty Edmund Purdom.&nbsp; I saw a cruddy gray-market bootleg tape of this a few years ago... It's a lousy movie.&nbsp; But fans of the story might be curious, despite some plot changes.&nbsp; (The action's been transplanted to 16th century Italy, our hero is now named Angelo, and there are some ludicrous plot twists.) ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ I agree, it is perplexing, but I will say this--  I tuned in and watched this lousy movie because it is obscure.  If TCM had shown the silent version, I would not have watched, because I own the dvd and have seen it many times. ]]></description>
