Summer break is here for me, and in and amongst my household chores I finally intend to finish two Dan Simmons novels, THE TERROR and DROOD. Considering their size, I expect they will take most the summer.

Also checked out Tim Dorsey's latest novel The Rip Tide Ultra Glide. As an ex-Florida Keys resident I find his Serge Storm books hilarious - and a bit nostalgic.
