        <![CDATA[  Just for a change of pace, and after years of hearing and reading about the father of &quot;horror gore&quot; movies, Herschel Gordon Lewis, I picked up a copy of the last movie he did before a hugely long hiatus called &quot;The Gore-Gore Girls.&quot;
 Since I already knew what was coming, I wasn't really shocked by the extreme scenes that were portrayed, but rather tried to find the subtle humor that he supposedly tried to keep in those movies. It kind of worked, I think.
