I was perusing this fun site about Heavy Metal Horror
Films, and came across this one called Black Roses.
IMDB says this:

Demons hypnotize the general public by posing as a rock and roll band.
But get this:

Frank Dietz, who plays Johnny in BLACK ROSES, also appeared in ROCK
        'N' ROLL NIGHTMARE.

So I'm all like "Is that our Frank Dietz?" And sho 'nuff, it is! I think it's
pretty cool, particularly in...

The movie has a cult following. I still get fan mail about it, many of them from younger folks. One 16 year old from Arkansas wanted to buy the jean vest I
wore in the movie from me!

One bit of trivia to mention: Long before he was "Big Pussy" on THE SOPRANOS, Vincent Pastore had a small role in BLACK ROSES as a ill-tempered
father who gets eaten by a stereo monster!

Sorry Frank! I haven't seen the movie in...oh...20 years now. I'm nowhere near as "snobbish" as I was as an 18-19 film "expert"
back then. I would think I might enjoy it now...a little bit. Though the music will drive me crazy I am sure. I never enjoyed the marriage of Heavy Metal and
Horror. It's was hurts certain Argento films for me even.

Are you one of the leads?

Yep. In BLACK ROSES I play "Johnny," a troubled teen who gets possessed by the demon band. So I was 27 playing 17! I got pretty good
billing, and I'm in the movie from beginning to end. Fun part, fun movie. Good times.

I've seen it, and it is terrible. But I never liked the Rock and Roll band meets evil type of thing anyways. It reeks of bad cheese before the credits even
begin. But Black Roses was one of the original "oh my gosh...that is a GREAT video box! The movie just HAS to be great" films.
