i would like to nominate this blog because, although its only 3-4 months old, it has achieved a strong fanbase, has very good and interesting posts,does interviews with new people in horror to give them exposure, and is just a really good blog!

Given the whole "category in the subject line" request, I'm probably going to be making a few posts here. Bear with me.

Doctor Who has always been at its best, I feel, when it tells a sci-fi story with a horror twist (or vice versa). The most recent special "Waters of Mars" proves no exception to this rule. Terrifying creatures and a turning point for David Tennant's 10th Doctor.

If it hasn't been nominated already, I'd like to put forward Love Train for the Tenebrous Empire for Best Blog. Tenebrous Kate's unique perspective on the horror genre is a breath of fresh air. She's also quite the lively podcast co-host.

Thankfully, Paul Naschy was inducted into the Hall of Fame last year. Certainly he must have been aware of the honor. Fortuitous timing.

It's always nominated, but this year FRANKENSTEINIA has really excelled. By creating and hosting the Boris Karloff Blog-a-thon, Pierre really outdid himself. It was certainly one of the classic horror highlights of 2009. So I'm casting a very strong vote for FRANKENSTEINIA for Best Blog.

How about Dave Sindelar? I'm not sure which category, but his horror/sci-fi/fantasy film-a-day project on CHFB just broke 30000... that's got to be worth something if only for endurance & stick-to-it-iveness. His latest venture is to cull those 3000 into an "essential 300".

Ok, I'm biased being from Virginia, but I think is a great documentary no matter where you are from. I think it has great and often VERY funny stories, and quite well edited and put togther. A fantastic review of 50 + years of Horror Hosts and the state that loves them.
