Majel Barrett and a young John Hurt also star, and SPECTRE is all the more interesting for largely being shot in England.

This a TV movie I regularly revisit, wondering what the series might have been like.

I would classify both Fear No Evil and Ritual of Evil as "watchable." As cap says, Vampire quality isn't bad. The best quality disk are those that are copied from the Canadian Scream channel (but you have to suffer through the logo at the bottom right), and those that come from the BBC (Ghost Stories for Christmas eps are a bit oversaturated; The Stone Tapes and The Nightmare Man are pretty well perfect).

I got the two Jourdan Evil films from Cinefear. While Fear No Evil looks pretty good, Ritual is terrible. It's from a Sci-Fi Channel broadcast and the picture flutters uncontrollably whenever there is a scene with a bright light source (I imagine this is due to a VHS tracking problem). I also got Vampire from them (Richard Lynch), and that's pretty good. Spectre I got from an ebay seller who got the copy off a Fox airing, and it is gorgeous.

Hey John ~ This is the first dvd-r I've gotten from Cinefear, and while not perfect, the quality is definitely watchable. I remember Dr. Paul Armstrong mentioning that he and his wife had purchased several films off this site (as has Old Manster) and saying that the quality varies depending on the source.

I also am thinking of getting those Louis Jordan movies! I've never seen them, but have been reading about them in my new book, Television Fright Films Of The 70's by...

So the quality of these DVD-Rs from Cinefear is decent, Rak?

Will have to check their website out, see what else they've got. I want to see the 2 telefilms with Louis Jourdan (FEAR NO EVIL and RITUAL OF EVIL), plus THE BERMUDA DEPTHS, A COLD NIGHT'S DEATH (also with Culp) and a handful of others.

Young`s second to last role. Not sure when his role for GAME OF DEATH was filmed. I would guess it was the new footage filmed with the unconvincing actor replacing the deceased Bruce Lee.

Yeah, poor Gig, he not only looked drunk but he sounded drunk. They even worked his drinking into the script, but it was sad to see him looking/sounding like that.

I agree Cap, Culp is awesome in this and everything else I've seen him in (Columbo and The Outer Limits come to mind).

LOVE IT! Man I wish this had become a series. Culp is fantastic; he could be such a powerful, imposing actor at times. I think Young was an alcoholic, hence the way he looks. I believe this was his last American production, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, I got this from Cinefear and it is uncut (some nudity in one scene). Somehow I totally missed this TV movie back in 1977.
