Well, we finally got down to our friend Frank Dietz' house this weekend and picked up our little Rondo to bring back to the Cult Radio studios.

After now (better late than never) just watching Frank Dietz's acceptance speech I can only echo
the other posters--what a modest man and decent chap (I already knew how great an artist he is)!!
And say, from just the right angle, doesn't Frank bear a resemblance to Robert Patrick (y'know
Doggett of X-Files fame) cept, Frank is better looking.

It's funny you mentioned the back of your head because at the end of Frank Dietz' speech in the Youtube clip above, you can see the square head of the Frankenstein monster applauding! Laughing just typing this...

I need to make it to a Wonderfest one of these years, and seeing the Rondo presentation might just be the final push to do it.

Frank, that speech is wonderful! I love the passion you have for your profession! The tip of the hat to us here at the CHFB (especially hearing my kids name mentioned) was one of the nicest things I have seen somebody do for a bunch of faceless goofs on a message board! Thanks!

I can't believe its almost 2 weeks ago that we were all together. Seems like eternity. The love, fellowship, support, laughter, ODCH, therefore the bar, and tears that we all felt truly defines what this yearly event has become in all of our hearts.....family.

J - Thanks so much for posting these clips. For those of us not fortunate enough to be able to attend Wonderfest, these videos make you feel like you're right there in the audience.

I particularly enjoyed Frank Dietz's acceptance speech, who showed what a true gentleman he is by singling out the terrific artwork being done here in our CHFB Member Art...

This year's Rondo Ceremony at Wonderfest was two hours of, well, wonder. There were monsters in full make-up, genre icons, video tributes, moments of emotion and lots of laughter. It was truly amazing how far some people came -- winners came from California and Massachusetts to Louisville -- and how seriously everyone took the event.

I can't thank everyone enough, and especially the Wonderfest leadership of Dave Hodges, Dave Conover and Donnie Waddell, who were so gracious...
