I have an AIP one-sheet of TWO FACES OF DR. JEKYLL; the title is JEKYLL'S INFERNO, but that's a swipe pasted over HOUSE OF FRIGHT.

I have a strong aversion to credit cards so can't order this set until I get paid on Friday... but surely it must be one of the most important releases in years. The Gorgon in particular, is an absolute classic. Why have horror/sci-fi fans had to wait so long for these films when dross is available everywhere?! Maybe we might get Island of Dr Moreau, The Keep, No Blade of Grass, Outward Bound, or The Monster and The Girl at some stage in my lifetime.. but I won't hold my breath.

It was great fun to see such a splendid DVD rendering of TWO FACES OF DR. JEKYLL. I had seen the film first-run back in 1961, but back then it was entitled HOUSE OF FRIGHT--apparently, AIP didn't want to possibly scare off Yank filmgoers with a highfalutin literary reference like "Dr. Jekyll" in the title.

I fired up SCREAM OF FEAR yesterday for my second dip into the Hammer set after THE GORGON. I thought this was an excellent little chiller in the DIABOLIQUE or DEMENTIA 13 vein. The plot's kind of clumsy (avoiding spoilers, an elaborate, impractical ruse really could have been avoided by a simple call to the cops after one character learned a particular bit of information), but it cracks along with excellent pacing, performances and...

I believe they have a Toho boxed set in the works for next year, to include MOTHRA and BATTLE IN OUTER SPACE.

Just finished the last one, saved THE GORGON for last, and really enjoyed them a lot! Even the CURSE OF THE MUMMY was better than I expected, the Mummy, while not up to Christopher Lees' standard, managed a few thrills. These Columbia box sets are great, please keep them comming.

Got mine this afternoon at BB on Bay Parkway, plenty of copies...about 8.....thanks to the CHFB I knew to look in the Sci-Fi section, where they were.

Best Buy has a bad habit of putting Horror titles in the Sci-fi section. About a year ago I found the How to make a Monster/Blood of Dracula in the Sci-Fi section.

SHE and THESE ARE THE DAMNED. The latter can be picked up from Smarty Pants. Not sure of the quality- I got some of their stuff and it was variable.

Got the set in the mail today and watched CURSE tonight. Looks fantastic! Can't wait to see the others.

Bought mine yesterday @ Bestbuy. Mine, also was found in the SciFi section....LOSERS! I wouldn't probably have found it at all had I not seen another man walking around the aisles with a copy in his hands, so I knew there had to be some spot where I wasn't looking.

Anyway, I watched Gorgon last night and I thought it was great! It looked fantastic and was a fun flick all the same...
