			<description><![CDATA[ I was going through some old videotapes earlier this year and I found I&#39;d recorded part of a 1980&#39;s TV remake of &quot;Night of the Hunter.&quot; It
starred Richard Chamberlain as Harry Powell and nothing about what I saw was very good. It was set in the present, but the director had everyone dress and act
as if it were the 30&#39;s - which didn&#39;t fit with the modern cars. Chamberlain seemed to want to do everything different from Mitchum, meaning he did
everything wrong.... ]]></description>

Apparently, MacGuffins weren&#39;t Davis Grubb&#39;s strong suit.   In FOOLS&#39; PARADE,  which is also set during the Great Depression, the bad guys are
after the life savings amassed by an ex-con during forty years of prison  labor -- a whopping twenty-five thousand dollars, to be exact.  That&#39;s a mighty
hefty nest egg even for a modern day jailbird, let alone an incarcerated... ]]></description>
